- In Reader's Workshop this week, we will continue reading and learning all about fairy tales!
- We will compare and contrast different fairy tales and "fractured" fairy tales (fairy tales that are the same story but told a little bit differently).

Writing
- We will continue writing imaginative stories in writers workshop! The students have been using what we learn in reading to use in their writing.

- Conventions and Grammar: This week, we will be focusing on the skill of using adjectives correctly in sentences.
Word Study
- This week, we will be learning and working with the -ai word family (ex: rain). We will continue discussing the "vowel pair" rule: "When two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking."

- You will see a GREEN WORD STUDY BOOKLET in the back of your child's binder. Just a reminder that this booklet stays in their binder. It should never stay at home. ALSO, your child should NOT work ahead on this booklet at home. We will work through it together at school, and then they can use it as a study tool at home.
